CENTRAL FLORIDA (Gainesville) SWAP MEET - FEB. 21st

Any "Ameraucanas" from a hatchery are EEs...sorry to be the bearer of bad news. All that really means is they can't be shown...and a lot of them lay tan/pink eggs instead of blue or green.

My Cochins are bantams. I just set 14 Wheaten Ameraucanas from pips&peeps yesterday.

Changed post #181 & #185 to read Easter Eggers. Don't want there to be any confusion. Ideals description says Ameracauna(Easter egg layers). I thought that if they had tails, they were Ameracaunas and Aracaunas were rumpless. I thought that was the difference! Maybe I should stick to show Silkies!!!!ha!ha!

I love my ees too. I have seven hens and all are different color and the roo is gorgeous. Mine lay all three colors. They are really sweet temperpent birds too......

Kelly, did you get the wheaton or the blue/wheaton from pips and peeps? I have some cooking right now in my bator, they are the most incredible shade of blue! They are due next week. And NO Im Not Bringing Them To The Swap.

It's all good, we love our EE, we have 3, 1 lays blue, 1 lays green, one not old enough yet but as I have mentioned she is a real love bug (ok somebody, DD, get this chicken off my head so I can finish cleaning the coop, please) lol

Yes, from pips&peeps...they are gorgeous eggs! I can't wait to see what pops out! I think she just sent Wheaton...not sure if there are any blue wheaton in there. What did you get? If you got any blue Wheatons I might have to con you out of one if I don't have any.
