Kelly, how did the meaties turn out?

Kelly did you cook one of your meatie's yet? We grilled one of ours this past weekend it was so good. Did you set the BC eggs I gave you? Let me know how they do I have my sister collecting more so we can set some next week.

The meaties came out good! They averaged about 3 lbs. I fried one on Sunday and baked another in mushroom gravy...they're delicious!

I set the Black Copper eggs. I'll let you know when I candle them.

Next time someone on this area processes meaties, I would love to be able to watch and take notes. Im pretty sure I can do this, but it would help to actually watch someone do it the first time.

My biggest one was 5 lbs I wish I could have waited another week to process mine. But the swap was that next weekend and I didn't know if we were coming back up to ocala the weekend after. But I know next time I will plan ahead keep them the full 8 weeks. Plus I think I will order all roos they were nice and fat.

Ok I need to get to his place too and buy one more male diamond dove and get it to Annika's place. She is bird sitting for me and I have one female now without a mate. I will let you know what weekends we will be coming back up. Hope you figure out why the emails don't come through to me. They don't even show up in my spam folder. I will just PM you till you get it fixed.
