That's why I like to hold on to them for at least a few days. If I've had them for a week chances are they aren't going to have any problems so I can let them go with a clear conscience.

I'm in...my very first chicken swap!!

I will bring, some three month old silkies, some oegb chicks hatched this past week, some delaware X cochin chicks and Cochin x Red star Chicks, some austrorp chicks & some silver laced cochin hatching eggs.

I also have some 3 month old runner ducks & Pekin's I can bring if anyone is interested.

WANTED Cochins!!

It's been a rough year so I don't even have the Brahmas in their breeding pens yet. They are young birds and very slow to fully mature so it's good to wait a little extra time.
Thanks for asking though.

DH just informed me that he has made other "PLANS" for that weekend.....hmmmm a Valentines day??? It's a shame he doesn't realize, I'd enjoy the swap more than flowers and an expensive dinner.

So I guess I'm not going to make it.

Hey Eric, I saw on one of your posts that you might have some Serama chicks. How much? I think I know a lady, that used to have Seramas, but down sized and got rid of them. Now she wants them again and I'm fixing up, I mean she's building a new coup and run for them. Oh before you ask, yes I'm working. LOL!

Looks like we are going to have a decent day. Forecast is for sunny, 66 and 0% chance of rain. It will be a bit cool in the morning with overnight lows in the mid 30's so bring a jacket.

For all who are coming out to this swap, please remember to stop by the bank by Friday so you can bring smaller bills to buy and sell with.

It is not fair to hand someone a $20 for a dollar chick

nor would you want someone to do the same to you.

Please remember to be thoughtful of others and DO NOT bring sick or diseased birds.

You will be asked to remove any sick birds from the area.

We should have another great swap and let's all have fun.
