Yes---we went on May 2nd. We got there before 7am because it was quite a drive (almost 2 hours) and I didn't want to get all the way out there and not have a space. But, the feed store says there is really no chance of running out of space even though they say "First come first serve".
My biggest thing was I had about 15 black copper marans. I had hatched a whole bator full of eggs and nearly EVERY ONE HATCHED, so I had to sell some.
I didn't sell ONE because no-one knew what they were. They were 2 mos. old and sat there an baked in the big dog pet traveler.
The swap was very homey, everyone was very nice. They give away feed every hour, and they gave away a goat and a pig, as well. We sold 13 dozen (I think it was 13) of my bro-in-law's eating eggs within the first hour! That was to 2 people! We sold a calico silkie hen, a few Serama pairs, and some chicks, but gave away A LOT of birds (none of which were the BCM---too much money into them!). I didn't want to go home with so many, so towards the end I was making people take them...esp ROOSTERS!
They were also VERY organized...when you drive in, the guide you to where you will park, and there is an outside water source if needed. We were stuck next to the pig truck
Yikes!
They have the swap the first and 3rd sat. of the month now, and the next on is July 4th, where they will be offering 'free slices of chilled watermelon' and their usual drawings for feed and stock.
If I were closer, I'd go more often, but with it being such a distance, we may not go back until it starts cooling down again.
Oh...and I got the best home-made strawberry jam from someone, and have been having withdrawals since we haven't made it back!

Guess I will have to check it out on the 4th in the am.. Because the next is on the 18th and I will be at the swap...
Thanks Fluffy butt!!!
