CENTRAL FLORIDA SWAP MEET for June 20, 2009

I'll have eggs to bring also: Barred Rocks, Dominiques, Silkies (if they are laying) and Cuckoo Marans. Looks like the turkeys are about to stop laying or it could just be our wet weather slowing them down.
I'll also have some Barred Rock, Silkie, Cuckoo Marans and Bantam Cochin chicks.

I personally can't do it on Sunday because we are taking my 2 oldest down to Miami to visit with their grandparents for a week. If someone else wants to do it on the 21st they can

Tricia, I would love to come! If thats OK? I have nothing to swap, but really would like to meet some people, and see what everyone has. If k625 is there I would like to get some polish! (unless I can get them before then
big_smile.png
) If its ok, then I will need directions. Maybe starting off from the kid's school? I know you said you we not too far from there. I would like to bring my youngest daughter too, again if it is ok. I don't want to invite myself and intrude. I am a Wierdo you know...

PRC I would be offended if you didn't come! LOL!!! You definately don't have to have anything to swap to come. Just ask Bloomnbeauty. We went together to the last one. I brought nothing and came home with like 7 birds (only 3 were roosters!)
lau.gif
I swear I am a rooster magnet and have a whole coop of nothing but roosters......
hu.gif
(it would be funny if it wasn't true). All kids are welcome. My kids will be here and probably being a pain in the butt to boot! Especially my 3 yr old son.
sickbyc.gif
(that's the faces he likes to make LOL). I have a swing set and lots of kid friendly stuff here. There is nothing kids can hurt around here that hasn't already been destroyed by my kids or my dogs. There will be drinks and food and just come and meet everyone and have a great time!
I will post directions a week before the swap but it's only 2 miles from the school heading north on 236
smile.png

I will probably have some duck eggs and ducklings too. One of my ducks is broody and sitting on a slew of eggs. I said I wasn't putting more duck eggs in the bator but said nothing about broodies! LOL!

Darn...I am going to miss another one...picking my soldier son and his Russian wife up at the airport in Jacksonville on the 20th...he has been out of country for four years and we are REALLY looking forward to his return...I will have Pekin ducklings and maybe a couple Brown Chinese goslings at that time and maybe some mutt chicks...wish I could make it..I am in N Fl where I 75 and I 10 intersect...if anyone is interested in any of my little guys feel free to contact me...

Cool...Thanks. My youngest daughter is 13. She could help with the smaller ones, she is good with kids.(and is always looking to make a good impression in case there is a future baby-sitting job.LOL!) She also is the one that shows more interest in taking care of our chickens. She's our little animal lover. My oldest is 17 and is more into her boyfriend. But may want to come if there are little ones to watch. I MAY have a couple roos to bring. Really don't want to but if they start to get too loud here in the next couple weeks, I may need to. I'm in the city limits, remember? Probably end up coming back home with em anyways.LOL! Well thanks again, and look forward to meeting everybody.

Hey now I can say Mark instead of PRC???

My oldest is 10 (going on 20 LOL) and would love to see kids here close to her age. Nice to know we may have a possible baby sitter for the future going to be here as well
smile.png
My inlaws live on our property so they can usually baby sit but it's always nice to have a back up
thumbsup.gif

Which roo are thinking about bringing? They were both nice looking boys. Loved the coloring on your RIR!
smile.png

Edited to add that you are NOT allowed to bring any cochin roosters as then I feel obligated to take them and I don't need anymore

IF I bring them it would be both the RIR (Lil' Red) and the Barred Rock (Col. Sanders) Waiting to see if the volumn of their crowing changes.

Right now it is at a good level, the ducks morning quaking is louder. I think I will be able to tell by then.
Don't worry, the only Cochins I have are the 2 hens.LOL Although I was looking for one at one time.

you must have a female duck. The males only make a whisper quack. My females are LOUD!!!
lol.png
I will have lots of them for sale (male and female) at the swap.
I'm lucky my neighbors don't care about my roos. Their camels sound like dying moose. They also like my eggs
wink.png

I understand about not wanting to draw attention to your flock though since you are in the city limits....
