Working on king of the gnomes. Lots of people in class making loads of small gnomes. So i decided to go big. So far, 22" tall, but i am not done the head or hat.

Making progress. I need to work more on the face and texture, plus surface smoothing. He is now 33" tall! But will shrink as he dries, as with each of 2 firings.

Working on a sea serpent now. The gnome is drying. Also starting to make pumpkins for fall. Having fun!

Got a better estimate on getting the gas line replaced on the truck so we went and picked it up. Takes about a week to get parts.
My jaw still hurts, and i am like a grumpy bear. Gaining weight from eating comfort foods.

Wow! The gnome is a big project! What clay are you using, and is your kitchen also your studio space?
Several years ago I was making little clay fairy houses & mini gnomes.
