Seemed to me this was the appropriate forum, sorry If I'm wrong.

Was reading the disease/cure forum just now about a "Wry neck" problem and read about the concern with nutritional intake which in itself makes sense. One prevalent treat my chickens go for is boxed cereal, mostly Honey Nut Cheerios. "Total" cereal has 100% minimum daily requirements for humans on most of the vitamins. I know I'm comparing apples to oranges here but vitamins are vitamins

A chicken with a malady that requires a vitamin boost is probably better suited to receive just that vitamin in it's best absorption form.

Does anyone use a vitamin enhanced cereal for feed/treat when they're concerned about intake in a preventative sense?

I would think the cereal would be okay as a treat but to rely on it for a vitamin boost might not be the way to go. The amount you would need to feed to get the boost might be giving them a lot of what they don't need like sugar & might not have the effect you are looking for. When I think my girls need a boost I cook them up a whole grain cereal & mix it with some plain yogurt. It always seems to make them happy & keep them healthy.
