Our chickens live in a 6 foot high 30 ft by 40 ft chain link run. Their coop is a 10 by 10 chain link enclosure completely wrapped in hardware cloth. The only losses we have had were to a hawk who dropped in on a young pullet, and from our own dog who heard us say we had too many chickens and he decided to help. They were not in the run at the time, but enjoying the regular afternoon time on the lawn. We have seen skunks, coyotes and raccoons but so far the set-up has been successful.
