CHAINSAWS Big Boys Toys.

best overall repair advice. give the saw to a junkman and buy a Stihl. just kidden, if i lived close by i would look at your saw for free. i have lots of extra parts and a nice warm shop. when your saw want start replace the gas and get a new sparkplug [dont clean it] and a shot of starting fluid never fails. this new 10% ethenal gas is causing people problems in small engines. when an older saw acts up [ dont try this at home] i mix carb cleaner and rubbing alcohol in my oil gas mix and find a big tree and run the saw as hard as i can run it. if you have questions i will try to walk you through them. look back at puple chickens chainsaw post, Stihl no. 1.

Our chainsaws arn't the biggest. But my hubby and me built an awesome log splitter.

if you want to see a log splitter, look at the bottom of page one on this thread. that is awesome. i like the old maul better because to me the log splitter moves to slow.

Yes the one at the bottom of page one is mine . That is a Stihl-044 with 28" bar. Also if ya look close at the bottom you can see the blade on the splitter, It is almost touching the saw well that blade is 12" tall.

I have an outdoor wood boiler that takes whole logs up to 5 feet long. If you can fit it through the door, it'll burn. I can even throw in good sized stumps. Splitter? No need for splitting here.
