Challenge Of The Father (Recycling Nightmare LOL) Finished (pg5)

Can't wait to see the finished product... especially beer can shingles. (But I won't show my hubby for fear they's end up on our house. lol. ) Please post pictures and good luck!

I was trying to do this with my newest coop but quickly gave up when i realized that the new birds were gonna beat the coop. I still managed to do it pretty cheap. I like the aluminum soda can clapboard/shingle idea

I can't wait to see this. Beer can shingles

Nope, solar panel. I am looking for effect rather than performance needed for a real house.
It is a small house/project needs a small light. A solar led light works fine for this and there are
several solar patio lights behind my dad's building that he stopped using because the NICAD battery
no longer stayed charged. I have a few extra NIMH cells lying around. I'll disassemble it to
make a small porch light under the eve and the panel on top of the small porch.

Now that you've made me think about that I might embed a puck light or something to give medication and stuff at night.

I can show a photo of that already from my D'uccle nestbox and an idea of how I will do the siding with plastic soda bottles.

240z Diet Mountain Dew Siding (not this project either, but idea)
See...I love storage spots.

I love these low cost projects. It takes sooo much brain power to make them work. Looks like you already have a great plan.

It has been really cold so I only worked on it today.

Making nest boxes, a floor and cutting clorplast.
The bottle siding isn't as crooked as the photo looks (weird light reflection)

What you see at the bottom is 2 liter bottles that cover the bottom
of the box through the bottles. It won't matter because it will be
painted white anyway.

Scored some more cloroplast from the local convenience store
and some scrap pieces of plywood from my uncle.
Made a contact with a woman whom is a janitor at
Limestone College through freecycle. She delivered three
bags of washed 24 oz soda bottles. The kids even washed
them and sent to me. Nice!
