Change of feed

Hi, I'm interested in purchasing two hens. The hens have been given layer feed mixed with high protein starter? I'm interested in feeding chickens some greens, vegetable scraps. Would they be able to make that transition ok? Any thoughts on whether this diet would work well? Any supplements you'd recommend?

Anything on that list would be fine. I would start them out slowly, small amounts and some time between adding new treats. That way if something doesn't agree with them it'll be easier to figure out what it was.

what ive found also is..

when you give them too much treats

they start to dislike eating feed.....
