After a series of videos today, with Ghost attacking some of my hens and the pullets I've locked him up in the grow out area. He has food, water, and a small coop. I haven't decided what I'm going to do with him yet, but I will not tolerate that kind of abuse on my ladies. To be honest, when I got home I wanted to snatch him up by the neck and hang him from a tree🤬

Sorry to hear Ghost isn't playing nice. Hopefully the time out will help.

I know things can get a little rough sometimes, but he stepped way over the line! He had one of my BCM pullets pinned down pecking the crap outta her, luckily Prue jumped in and got him off. Before that he was attacking Betty, and would not stop, even after she submitted. I was fuming at work!

Ghost is still locked up in his own pen, he has been listed as free to a new home with full disclosure, if he isn't gone by the end of this week, he will be culled. Went on a ride today and saw the cutest memorial, and came home to my first egg from Nymeria (Isabel ameraucana).

Eek! That's the kind of behavior I saw from the roo who scalped my hen. I was watching him pursuing her to mate and resigned myself that they would have to work it out, headed inside and came back out 5 mins later to see she was in a corner in the coop... looked odd so I walked up to check on her and her brain was showing. He apparently just kept pecking. I had to put her down. I felt very bad because I had the chance to save her, but let the advice that they must know what they're doing override my own sense.

I'm sorry about your hen! I won't put up with that crap, my ladies come first, and he's just another dick who doesn't know how to treat ladies...sadly

It's all good...and yes, they will, and that is my number one priority
I agree...I had the one oops moment with the last 2 boys and Joannie free ranging, but immediately separated them. They weren't rough but I can't have any gang activity going on and Kong nor I can be everywhere.
I'm very fortunate that Kong don't let any of them mate his girls in his presence, so even these 7 now stayed peaceful in the coop but I knew I was on borrowed time with them being 15 weeks at that time. I could coop them all but had to put them in separate runs.
