Change of plans

I had to google what the heck a squash boar is. I was just imagining a big old pig that goes round eating squash. 😂
I've never had one, but when I saw it I freaked out, it was the biggest grub I had ever seen🤮 Needless to say it destroyed my plant in a matter of days. But the chickens loved it 😉

After a week of downpours I finally got the grow out pen cleaned up and the littles moved. Only 2 are from my WTB, they escaped the divider and they were the last 2 to hatch while I was home and the others were already in the brooder. They are ebony and ivory. The others are 1 wheaten Marans from Fiona and 1 orp mix. Then some random pics of the generational OE's (12 weeks) the remaining Bielefelder (15 weeks) and some of the ladies.

Had an abundance of tomatoes this week so I'm making some savory tomato jam. Also a fella who bought a bunch of blue wheaten OE chicks sent me some pics, they are mixed in with some of his own but you can absolutely tell which ones are cockerels, I think they're gorgeous 😍 The pretty one in the front corner with the spangled chest is one of the orp/marans mixes. Onyx is weaning her chicks and teaching them to roost. I'll try and grab some pics of the OE's this weekend, but today is jam, then getting some ribs on the grill with some pool time and margaritas 🍹

Today is a good day for a margarita! I just finished mowing about 6 acres. I need an adult Gatorade now (what I call a Margarita).
