Change of plans

Wow. Is she acting ok?
She's one of my OG's, so over 5yrs old, but she is a high production breed. She's a very friendly lady and when I went out there she came right up to me as usual, then laid the bloody yolk. She's acting fine, but will be getting an epsom salt soak in the morning and a calcium citrate. It hurts my heart! She really showed me how special chickens are!

How is Betty?
She seems good, back to laying (2 eggs so far) I'm watching her like a hawk! You can see her dust bathing by the Texas sage. Thank you for asking💓 A little video from today of the little littles (almost 3 weeks) out partying with everyone. They're still putting themselves to bed in the grow out coop, but integrating perfectly!

I love your layout! It looks so natural! I need to share this with my partner for further chicken projects - never-ending!

Thank you! I try and provide as much of a natural environment as I can since they don't free range. They do get access to my large fenced yard, but only under supervision, so I want them to have the best life possible. And yes, it is never-ending 😉😂
