Change of plans

Well the black and ermine ameraucanas are 15 weeks and zero cockerel signs (when you don't want one you get a whole mess off them, when you do, you get none🤦‍♀️)

Lunatic Fringe and her littles are doing great! She's an A+ broody!

A repeat customer who got some of my blue wheaten OE's this year sent me the first egg pics, how frickin gorgeous! I'm quite pleased and will be hatching a bunch of these in a couple months🥰

The hubs got me a nesco digital pressure canner for Christmas and I've been going nuts😂 Today I canned 7 pints of homemade Alfredo sauce. It tastes delicious and I did the math, it's about .30 cents more expensive than store bought without all the extra junk. Needless to say, we're having chicken Alfredo for dinner, lol

You just gave me a great idea for a gift for my dad. I didn't even know there was such a thing as a digital pressure canner!

It's awesome! You can water bath in it too, along with pressure cooking. I've done meat, burritos in a jar, jam, and the Alfredo today. It's so easy to use.

The gentleman that sent me the pics of the Blue wheaten OE eggs offered me some to hatch so of course I said yes. He brought me 5 of those and 2 Ayam cemani/Isabel ameraucana x Ayam cemani/Isabel ameraucana. He got the izzy's from me, which is how we initially met.

I should have gone into more detail yesterday when I posted this, so: The Wheaten OE's will be F2's and since the roo is blue wheaten and some of the hens are blue wheaten there is a chance of blue, black, and splash wheaten. With the cemani's BC1's, all F1's would be split to lavender, so breeding that F1 roo back to the Isabel Ameraucanas should produce 50% lavender, 50% black with black skin. All his F1's had muffs and beards. The goal is lavender zombies with beards and muffs. I'll be keeping all of the chicks from this hatch and we'll go from there.
