Our young-uns have taken to sleeping on top of the nest boxes. We put up plenty of roost so everyone can have a spot. However the big girls seem to need "elbow" room and won't let the pullets and roos have a spot.
I was thinking to cover the boxes with a slanted board and an end cap so they cannot sneek in.
We have Cochin Bantams, a Buff Orbington Roo, and 4, I think Easter eggers, who are 2 1/2 - 3+ months old. They are all on top of the four nest boxes.
Any thoughts on this would be so very helpful.
Thank you for your help.
