Looks like you have the sex right on those 5, our group of 6 Partridge Chanteclers are looking like 2 pullets/4 cockerels at 12 weeks. the 8 at 4 weeks are still too hard to sex.

I think my 2 Cockerels Twitch & Fidget may have too much red in the chest area. Albert is running a little light at 6 3/4 pounds too.

I don't know much about anything other than white unfortunately. Twitch is absolutely gorgeous. I'd say he's got a great body type.
Fidget is definitely smaller, but looks pretty good. How old is Albert? It looks like he still has a fair bit of growing to do.

I thought that partridge is a color type that takes separate breeding groups to get females the right color, and males likewise. It always looked too complicated for me! I have enough trouble with the whites...

It's needed if you are going to get a higher percentage of useable males or females, but you can get a pretty good balanced strain. Somewhere there are pictures of full siblings that got some high up placing for their respective genders.

Yes, they should have solid black chests. Albert looks to be the best in colour, but is he narrow in stance? Or is that just the image? Nice wing edging on the two red males.

My best cockerel this year had a death wish, and is sadly departed. The one remaining cockerel is sort of okay, but I'm not in love with his looks. It figures! Solo, my avatar, isn't getting younger, and I was hoping for a replacement. Maybe next year?

That's a pity. I had the same thing happen to my best pullet last year.

two red males are young so hoping they darken up, Albert is 1 1/2 years old and only 6 1/2 lbs. I will soon see how Alberts 14 chicks fair.
