I think I'll try one last post on this thread. My topic is perspective. Is the glass half full or half empty?
Let's use the amount $400,000 in annual salary. That is a lot of money to me. It is also in the general range of what some of the people we are talking about make. Most of the people we are talking about that head the big charities have the talent and ability to make a lot of money in industry. I think most could get in the range of $2,000,000 per year as CEO or very high up in many companies. I could be wrong. It could be $4,000,000 or $1,000,000. Either way, they are making $400,000. Some will see the $400,000 and will say, they make too much. Some will see the potential of $2,000,000 and say, they took a $1,600,000 pay cut to take the job. That is a big sacrifice.
As an engineer, I deny the glass is either half full or half empty. I think the glass is too big.
