Chat N Chicknfun Thread

Wyandottes are SO pretty! This is my first year incubating. It has not been as successful or as easy as I imagined in my chicken dream filled silly head. Incubated almost 200 shipped eggs... Hatched 30 and whatever hatches here in a couple of weeks. Yes DH is glad I have a HOBBY that makes me happy, because if I was doing this for profit it wouldnt be profitable for a long long time, if ever.

Thanks, I like them too. Like Silver, the Sulmatras? are good looking birds, but I'm sooo limited right now. Very interesting history though.

Yes, it taking a while (and $$$$) for me to fine tune this "hobby" as well.
Lucky, DH has the chicken bug too! We take turns being good cop vs bad cop when it comes to chicken limits, but that needs tuning too! heehee

LOL chirp.. Sulmtaler or Sumatra, which did you look at? I have the meat bird from the Sulm Valley in Austria, not the fighting bird from Sumatra.

Ive tried to get DH interested, I made him a profile on here and he looked at the site maybe once. He is as interested in my chickens as I am in his bowling league.
