Good morning yall. The rain stayed to the south of here yesterday. It was a weird day yesterday. DH beloved television quit yesterday. Tech support said likely down for the count. I told him that he wore it out, it is on 18 hrs a day 7 days a week! It drives me crazy. I think that is why I like sitting in the backyard watching chicken tv so much, LOL. So went to walmart and got him a new tv. Came home and got that done. Had one 5 week old chick drop dead yesterday. Cocci is all that I can think of that would do that. I got the stuff to make a milk flush for the others she was in with, which is my whole flock :(. TSC didnt have any Corid or Sulmet and wont get any until later this week. DH is going to Huntsville today so I will have him look there for some. Hope everyone had a good weekend, i still havent caught up on reading.

Good morning Bama! So sorry about your chick! I hope your DH can find some Med for the rest of the chicks! My TS is getting rid of all kinds of stuff! At times I go in there looking for something and notice they have this or that then when I need or want it, I go back and they don't have it any more. My DH is the same way with his TV and his is as old as the hills also! We are waiting for it to die so we can bury it to buy a new one also! lol He wanted the a flat screen....
So what is a milk flush?

Hope you have a great day!!
Morning everyone......back outside to the best tv on earth!!!!

Bama, hope you get the Corid asap.

Just a note, not once did any of the 17, then down to 13 chickies had any blood droppings/spray around their bums. I was sure if it was cocci I would see a drop of blood on them somewhere. It was'nt until I brought them inside in brooder pens and on white paper towels that I started seeing the bloody poo/intestinal slough.

Just thought I'd share that little tidbit. I actually thought the 3 chicks that passed in 2 days got trampled...hence why I brought them inside and separated them into 3 brooder pens to "observe". Very lucky I caught it and that they held on and survived to date. Now they are busy eating to "catch up" their weight. Growing strong and big, whew!
