Just a note, not once did any of the 17, then down to 13 chickies had any blood droppings/spray around their bums. I was sure if it was cocci I would see a drop of blood on them somewhere. It was'nt until I brought them inside in brooder pens and on white paper towels that I started seeing the bloody poo/intestinal slough.
Just thought I'd share that little tidbit. I actually thought the 3 chicks that passed in 2 days got trampled...hence why I brought them inside and separated them into 3 brooder pens to "observe". Very lucky I caught it and that they held on and survived to date. Now they are busy eating to "catch up" their wait. Growing strong and big, whew!![]()
