Aww this little chicke after I posted popped out!! And has a good set of lungs chirping. But it's just not getting up. Am at work today. So will take some pics later

Oh yeah I've been meaning to ask u but I remember someone on the diary thread had gotten one of those jn8-48 incubators from china or whatever and all I can remember is it wasnt Sumi but they lived in England or Ireland and I'm dying to know if they work good or not! Actually I don't think it was u broody, do u remember who else lives in Ireland on the diary thread besides Sumi?

Hey, yes I have one. It may have been me. I got one and just bought two more!! It worked fab. Two eggs have not hatched. But it runs fantastically.

The chick is still alive. And doesn't show signs of giving up. But it's just all wonky looking the crop is kinda to the side of its neck. Here's pics. Oh and it's started trying to stand. And I have started giving it yolk. Which its taking straight from a spoon. Eyes aren't open. But it's started to a little. Also it does chirp and since I started giving it yolk it seems to be trying more.

Bless don't know what to do just feel like I have to give it a chance to see if it would be ok.

So I hatched out 20 healthy chicks out of 23. And 1 poorly. But I did have to assist another. But literally it got kicked into a corner by another chick. And when I went to help with the poorly one. I heard it under a shell. So I ended up just peeling away all the shell and the membrane was very tough. But it was ready and just jumped out. And was rearing to go.
Perhaps not a very good incubator for hatching but it was for incubating. I would recommend. They also do a two tier one now. I seen it on eBay. It comes direct from china. I will see if I can bring up the like for you.

Miss broody they are soooooo cute!! I agree with silver and I'm the exact same way I would at least give the lil guy a chance. By the way your son is adorable!
So why did u not like the jn8 as a hatcher? I almost bought that exact same one off http://alibaba.com/ but ended up getting the hovabator genesis. Is yours have humidity control? I didn't think they did but I just saw a new one on that website from china that only holds 24 eggs but its fully automatic with humidity control. If u don't mind me asking how much was yours plus shipping and how long did it take to be shipped to England?

I walk outside and what do I see.........................

Ravens pulling up my newly sprouted bean plants!

I put a bambo stake in each garden and tied a CD to it. See how that goes!! They don't stop, well then....it's on!!

That really sucks, Tony.....I have tried to grow veggies here, but there are so many bugs in Florida that we never get anything to grow to maturity. Too much work for nothing in return. I don't like to use pesticides, so I just quit trying,
I wonder if you could use one of those fake owls to keep the ravens away.......
maybe even try two poles and tie the cd between them so it spins and throws the reflection more upwards?
