Looks like it moving this way too! We need the rain, but NOT the wind I hope. The mountains always seems to break it up before it gets to us.

We may all end up in an ark- No I don't have one built.....yet

Glad you said that. I looked at the pictures again, and WOW those beaks are super dark! Pretty cool actually.

How many different breeds do you have? And, could you rate them all for how likely they are to feather pick under confinement? (I am not talking cages, just smaller than ideal square foot per chicken)

I have Light Brahmas, Leghorns, Golden Laced Wyandottes and Production Reds. Then the Hertiage breeds I have Delawares and RIR's.

The small area with pecking is a hard one. Depends really on how small. I honestly think any breed will get a bit pecky in a small area. From what I can see with all my birds is that the Production Reds are the worse when it comes to being pecky. They tend to be very territorial birds. They do it with each other. When other new birds or other types come in they hate them. LOL.Just from what I have seen. Again, that's just a very tough question. The GLW seem to me so far to be the best with others. The small Delawares think they are there mothers lol. They took to the bigger Wyandottes right off the bat. The GLW seem very easy going. SO far, I would rate them number 1 for that, just based on what I have seen so far.
