Chat N Chicknfun Thread

Yea. I will try to get it today. The house took me longer because of all the rain. So know i'm trying to catch up on all my other work.

I have seen that you all are getting what we had last week, sort of. The remnants of that tropical storm that fizzled out- hope you get a few good rainless days so you can get caught up!!!!

I also want to say, since I am on this morning........Things are getting better here!
There is a tremendous amount of communication going on, and DH has taken steps to show that he is committed to getting things straightened out and keeping our family together.
Lots less stress at this point, and he may also have gotten full time work

He has been very affectionate, and trying very hard to keep communicating on a regular basis, which is very hard for him, but he is doing it.....
Just an update......Y'all have been great in helping me keep up my spirits, and just wanted to put it out there

Thank You, My Friends!!

I know this is not chicken related, but I just have to tell you all about my Autistic 13 yo daughter.....The other day we were driving to the beach and as we went under the overpass for I-95, she saw a sign for MIami that pointed off to the south.
She said, "I need to go there"
Me:, "What are you talking about?
Kid:, "MIami, I need to go there"
Me:, "Why would you need to go there?"
Kid:, "Because I am going to live there."
Me:, "What are you talking about? We are not moving to Miami, where did you get that idea?"
Kid:, "Well, someday!"
Me:, "What on Earth are you talking about?"
Kid:, "Someday I am going to get married and move to Miami!!!"

My 15 yo and I just started cracking up and tearing up at the same time, but sort of bittersweet- to think that she thinks just like any other kid, with things she wants to do as an adult!
I have planned that she will probably be with us forever, but maybe she will find a special person and get married and move to Miami

It would REALLY have to be a VERY SPECIAL person!!!!!

Sometimes her Autism is hard to deal with, but also sometimes we have moments like that , just out of the clear blue she comes up with things that surprise us. I certainly want the best for her, and never really thought before about the possibility that she may someday get married!!

I so love that kid! She has brought so many emotions to our lives. But the bittersweet thing is sort of hard to deal with! I guess because of not really knowing what to expect for her future. I am so Blessed to have been given these moments, and I wanted to share this one with you all, my chicken buddies

All children are such a blessing, but every once in a while we get a special gift as well!
