Chat room for non religious poultry keepers! :D

You've been off it, cold turkey?? Oh, that's not good.

They have and still are learning about the brain chemistry that governs emotions, and what a significant effect that has on how people feel.
Yup! Completely cold turkey. And it’s the med specifically for the urges so 😬😬😬😭

And that’s interesting!

When I was going through a very DARK time in my life and got some therapy, the therapist had me take a test for a chemical imbalance. (I may have posted about this; don't recall.) I went to the meeting after she had the results.

A "normal" result was 5. Mine was 11. For the first time, I thought, hey, maybe this is NOT MY FAULT!

Nobody gets mad at a diabetic because they need insulin. Or an epileptic who needs anti-seizure meds. This should be seen as exactly the same, IMO.

Good point! Thanks!

If Beethoven had been "normal," he wouldn't have written some of the best music the world will ever hear.

If Einstein had been "normal," he wouldn't have changed the way we think about the universe.

Your "weirdness" can be your strength, too.
