Got all day tomorrow to work on my book. Hoping my friend had a chance to leave comments this weekend. I have my plot points all mapped out for the most part, just got to figure out how to get to the next point and where I want this book to end and the next one (or two) to start

Oof, that stinks! Hopefully it's not too damaged and you still have something to work with once the snow is gone.

I was worried mine would do the same, but we didn't get quite as much snow here. The birds still don't want to go outside today, though. -5°F this morning, only supposed to get to 2° above zero today, and windchill values at -25°.

I haven't been able to fully assess the damage yet, because it's just too darn cold and there's too much snow, but I'm hoping we'll be able to fix it up after a good thaw.

My girls have no desire to go out of the covered run either. The cold is brutal!

Fingers crossed for that! This cold has been pretty rough! Thankfully my birds don't seem to be having too many issues with it at least. I do have a rooster that's likely to lose a little bit of his wattles, and there were a few comb tips among my young boys that were looking dusky or pale and might end up being lost, but otherwise everyone seems fine at least. Grumpy and not wanting to leave their coops, but at least keeping active. Poor darlings!

Our house is super cold, too, because of it, so I'm sitting over here shivering with a blanket at my computer. Looks like we're supposed to warm up a little bit after tomorrow, so just gotta tough through until then.

Really hoping today is the last day for.negatives this week. I have 6 birds inside and I haven't gone out yet to check for new ones this morning. It's-18F right now, and I'm just so tired.
