Has anyone ever done a past life regression? I've talked with a friend about doing it, but it hasn't gotten past the, "Hey, that could be cool, we should do that."
Does anyone here use reddit? Is r/backyardchickens based off this site? Or is it just a coincidence
I was grabbing eggs from a prefab and as i straightened up, a little hawk buzzed past. I think it was swooping for one of the Littles near me and didn't notice me until I suddenly was right there.
Did you see what kind it was? That's amazing! Hopefully it got a bit of a shock from that and doesn't come back for your little ones!I've met several people here on BYC I consider friends, even though we've never met. A lot of them are young enough to be my children (or even grandchildren), or old enough to be my parents (or close to it).
I have been brought to tears by their sad experiences, made to laugh out loud with their funny ones.
Some of them, I'm not sure of their gender, race, age, beliefs. But they are interesting people, and I enjoy chatting with them. That's why I participate in threads like this.

Thank you for your patience.
May I offer a possibility? Perhaps a religious person was sad bc they felt excluded from what is proving to be a very interesting thread? I lurked here for a while until it was stated that religious people are indeed welcome, provided they respect the non-religious nature and intent of the thread. So, color me! This is a great thread!
Tiny, falcon looking. Other than that, not really. It's very possible it does, it met up with another one as it flew away so I think it might be nestingWow!!Did you see what kind it was? That's amazing! Hopefully it got a bit of a shock from that and doesn't come back for your little ones!
Maybe a kestrel?Tiny, falcon looking. Other than that, not really. It's very possible it does, it met up with another one as it flew away so I think it might be nesting

Possibly. I only really know the bald eagles and corvids hereMaybe a kestrel?
We have a hawk that has been getting more bold here too! Those buggers scare the crap out of me (and my girls of course)! I'm always telling them, "Eyes on the skies, ladies..."Ah, man. Raptors are tough to deal with, too. If nothing else, here's hoping they aren't successful in getting at your birds.
I've had a couple close calls with hawks already as well, darn things are starting early on me. Usually we're pretty safe from them until October when the leaves are mostly off the trees, but I've had two scares with them in the past month or so now.![]()
