I've been bad with my breeding this year. I sold off all the babies I had in the Spring, never rebred any of the does, and think it might be too late in the year to breed again.

What breeds do you have?

Yeah that makes sense! I liked the big ones where I barely had to fill it lol I got a big huge heated dog bowl too that held like a gallon or two.

OK help me out how do I keep their water not frozen in ohio with no electricity in my coop? this will be my first winter I'm dreading the whole idea of it I'm trying to figure it out now since the leaves are starting to change. Blah

Is your coop close to the house or garage? Mine was close to both so I ran an extension cord or two out there to the coop. Otherwise, get those black rubber bowls and just dump it when it freezes. Those freeze less.

Not really but we have a forever long extension cord so I guess if need be we can run it. You mean the horse grain bowls?

I don’t know how cold your winters get, but this is the one I use, and I’m in northern Alberta.

It has never froze completely on me yet, and our winters can get below -40C
Though I do have a heat lamp in the coop if it’s really cold.

I'm in Michigan, BTW, so similar climate to Ohio (maybe even a bit colder winters)...
