Chat room for non religious poultry keepers! :D

Aesthetically, it's beautiful out here. But I loathe driving through it and it's too cold to even enjoy if I take the driving out if the equation
Snow is pretty. A walk down the (plowed) road, admiring the snow in the fields is nice.

Driving? Whole 'nuther ballgame. Every car accident I've been in has been because of bad roads in the winter.

My two big complaints about winter are: winter driving and the short hours of daylight. Hubby does most of the driving now, but can't do anything about the hours and hours of darkness.

Ok, I don't like extreme cold either. Once it's down to 10 F (above zero; not going to even talk about below zero), I want to stay in bed.

Ahem. You mean snow? Snow is a gift from heaven (pun intended).

Spoken like someone who doesn't have to drive in it. ;)

Snow is the best thing since chickens.

The chickens are one of the main reasons why I don't like snow. They hate snow, so I have to break my back shoveling or they're all grumpy and stuck in the coop. And it piles on my netting and tarps, so even if the birds don't come out I have to break my back knocking snow down to prevent damage. Then it melts in the spring and makes a huge, muddy mess everywhere. 😩 It might be pretty, but that's really the only positive thing about snow.

Fiction. Adventure story. Lots of action, fighting, fun stuff like that.

I wrote a story kind of like that a long time ago. I went very simple with the name, something like 'A Chicken Tale'. It was about a group of pullets whose friend got snatched up by a hawk, so they went on an adventure into the forest to find her. A fun write, but probably needs more refinement before sharing it.

Anyway, I guess my point is, don't put so much pressure on the title! You can always change it later if you think of something better. 🙂

Exactly, driving in snow is the worst! The daylight hours only bother me because I get seasonal depression, otherwise that I don't mind so much.

Temps, eh. I don't like the negatives, but otherwise, that doesn't bother me much, either. Heck, I'm still wearing shorts down into the 20's, Fahrenheit. 😁
