Feed run went okay, thank goodness, though there were a lot more people on the road than usual so the drive was a little slower as I figured it would be.
Food shopping, ugh. Somehow I always forget to get something and have to make another run in later.

Oooh, getting your holiday gift shopping done? I keep thinking I should be doing that, especially for my friend who lives in Europe (no way at this point that it'll get to her on time, whoops

), but time keeps getting away from me this year!
Mmm, that all sounds so good! My sister and mom and I just plotted out our Thanksgiving meal, though my sister and I feel like something is missing and neither one of us has figured it out yet.

Nothing made ahead of time, though, except for things like pie crusts and getting veggies cut up and prepped the day before.
I love Thanksgiving, it's probably my favorite major holiday. No pressure about gifts, neither giving nor receiving. Just hanging out and catching up with with close family or friends in a warm house with good food and lots of laughs...

Always makes me so sad when the Christmas bombardment starts earlier and earlier every year and completely overshadows everything else.
Oooh, poor girl, not blessed in the brains department.

I have a few like that as well.
Pretty much as expected, yeah, though it's hard to be sure at this stage because sometimes those first feathers can be misleading. I do see mottling in some of them, the little dark one with the pale face does seem to be primarily black from its little wing feathers, and I see lots of early feathers reminiscent of the chick feathers of birds that are heavily red or red-brown later in life. That little multi-colored baby right by Cruella's head in that first picture is gorgeous, I didn't see that one in the previous pictures!
Ugh, oh nooo! Eggs are so precious this time of year, too!
