I didn't have any choice about waking up at midnight. The idiots with the fireworks saw to that. Poor Zeke spent most of the night under the bed, he's normally a very confident cat, but he's terrified of thunder and fireworks so has spent pretty much the last three days under the bed. He was a stray/feral so I'm not really surprised about the thunder. I'm sure he's thinking "That's a baaaad sound and things are only going to get worse."

Aww, I hope he's been able to relax since! My cat, Casper, was also a stray and he's sensitive about storms as well. Thankfully, that hasn't translated to fireworks or gunshots unless they're really close by, which fortunately isn't very often. Poor baby.

I looked at the name of this thread and it got me thinking....
that addicted to chicken is a religious in itself.
All my conversations will all lead to Chickens....I only have one tract mind...chickens..more chickens.

Oh, big same! My professor for one of my classes last semester gave us some parting advice at the end of the semester, and one of the things he said was, 'Find a hobby, don't be that person that only ever talks about teeth.' We're dental hygiene students, hence the focus there. Anyway, my first thought when he said that was that it wouldn't be a problem for me--I'm already the weirdo that only ever talks about her chickens!

Good plan! I haven't had the most active lifestyle for much of my adulthood, so over the past few years I've been working on changing that and on my diet. You only ever get one body, and you have to take care of it if you want to keep using it!
