Chat Thread for Readers and Writers!

I know this is random, but - I mean, it relates to the thread, so I thought I might share it :)
When I listen to music - especially without lyrics - it tends to give me inspiration. I don't mean boring classical music, I'm talking about fun, peppy songs without those annoying words in the way. I suggest Lindsey Stirling. Look her up on Youtube. But it gives me more ideas for settings than stories and it's easier than you think, which lets me get even more creative.
Has anyone else done this?

I have a library full of stories i made up in my head and most of them came from music, i like assigning specific songs to characters and making a playlist for each individual plot. It's mostly because i am a maladaptive daydreamer and music is one of my triggers but it really helps me with setting scenes.

I've found an excellent way to pass time is to tell myself a story in my head as if I were reading a book - like a movie I've seen recently. Do you just write them in your head or write them down afterwards?

YOU HAVE JUST SUMMONED THE BIGGEST FAN OF LINDSEY STIRLING EVER.

Hello! Mind if I join? I love to read and I absolutely love to write. Granted I may not be all that good of a writer... But I hope to try and have it as a career one day. I don't tell many folks, but almost everyday I think of a new book. I'm partly writing one called The Mystery Of The Unknown. (One that I'm trying to think of a real deep mystery) and another one Beneath Thy Surface (about an underground saw mill with working spirits). And another: Pawprints about a demon raccoon. :p

I love reading mystery, fantasy, fiction, romance, thriller, crime, etc. :p
