We use our muscovies for meat, Abba. It seems they grow out faster than most. However, they don't reach full size until much much later than your average pekin duck.

I love my quad of hens and my big ole chocolate drake.

My ducks are ( unhappily I might add ) living with my layers. Their pen had a tree fall on it and its been to wet to restretch the wire.

I am so sorry.

Hopefully it will dry out soon for you to get it fixed.

The mud is starting to dry out, but everything is in a horrifying state. Tree branches and debris everywhere.

And oh my, the nest boxes. I use plastic totes with a hole cut in the end. The lids blew off of many of them. Lid or not, they got full of water and the mud washed into them. How am I ever going to get them clean??? What a job!

And I've still got to get all the very overcrowded chicks taken care of. Many of them are big enough to go outside, and I have finally been able to resume my work on the grow pens. I should be able to start getting (half grown) chicks into them within a few days.
