Dominant cockerels can be obvious about 4 weeks old... some are slower to mature and can leave you guessing until saddle feathers come in, lol...

You do know that BLRWs are an andulasian blue right? Following is an informative quote I found from @MaransGuy from back in '08.


"If a black bird has a single blue gene it is then blue. If it has two blue genes it is then splash. Blue is created by a modifier that dilutes black to blue. The breakdown is listed below:


Blue x Blue will give you 25% Black (without the blue gene) 50% Blue (with one blue gene) 25% splash (with two blue genes).


Black x Blue will give you 50% Black and 50% Blue.


Black x Splash will give you 100% Blue.


Blue x Splash will give you 50% Blue and 50% Splash.


Splash x Splash will give you 100% Splash."

I have BLRWs but just broke up the breeding pen and I use all 3 variations of the color. I am not currently aware of of anyone doing Black x Splash breeding exclusively at this time. Best of luck searching! The Blues are certainly stunning but I do love my black and splash birds as well.

I might have just not looked deep enough into the main auction thread, but is it limited to only chickens? I think I saw at least one duck egg auction when I was looking at some randomly selected page from within the 1400+ options. Hahaha.

All fertile hatching eggs are acceptable to offer... chicken, duck, pheasant, quail, and guinea are just some examples that have been offered...
