Chat Thread for the New Crazy 24 hour Auction

Still interested? My pen changes won't be happening now, and might can do an auction ending this weekend if there's interest?
Do you have a quick break down of how you run your breeding pen changes? I won't be there until November or so, but I'm trying to sort out how I plan to do it. Right now I have a big "general population" (free-rangers, and at this time of the summer "free loaders" as well!!) and 5 pens (that are currently "grow outs", but I'm thinking 4 can be breeding, one can continue on w growing them out). I have 7-8 breeds - hopefully. I might need to build another pen, but I'd like to try to juggle them as best as I can.

Not sure exactly what you want to know, but my pen changeups were just about a special project I wished to work on, was going to take half my AC breeding hens and put them under a different cockerel... unfortunately, there was an accident moving him around and I lost him...

Pen wise, since I am currently only working on a single line of AC's right now, I only have 4 pens for those... I cut back on the breeds I have, as having just one pen per breed and/or variety is not enough, depending on your breeding program...

I have 2 breeding pens for my AC's, grow out pen, bachelor pen and various broody setups, and solitary confinement for various reasons...

Does that help?

I will let you know tomorrow if I can run an auction... unfortunately, we got a ton of rain really fast and todays eggs ended up mucky thanks to mud and broodys...

Unless a muddy egg auction would be ok?

Now that broodies have stopped stealing all the others eggs, i wanted to do some lav orp eggs too, but this rain is ridiculous! so i feel your pain. :(

Is anyone still hatching? I could do an auction for lavender orpington eggs if anyone is interested. Some may be a bit dirty, but should be able to get a dozen fairly clean ones before ship time.
