Oh what a sale!!! I just checked my e-mail and nothing...Can chicks make it okay in the mail in hot July??? They mail Tuesday eve and get in Thursday at 630 am.

I have been bidding on the white pavlovskaya every time they hit an auction at rarebreeds.com and never am around at the end of the auction and get outbid. I also think I have one single little orust rooster that I received in their special chick mix auction...he needs a girlfriend! LOL
 
Everything is still pretty much a disaster around here, but I've made some progress. I'm going to clean up some of the worst of the trash and debris today, and then the quail cage is next, and Serama cages after that.


The first row of grow pens are finished and filled up.




The chick pens are finished. 3 of the 4 sections are full. The near end has Serama roosters. That's at least some of the Seramas out of the house!



Here's the empty section with the door lifted so you can see how it works. I had to use welded wire instead of hardware cloth for the apron because it has to double as a barrier to hold the chicks in when I lift the door.



Here's one of the sections showing the occupants.



Chances of rain coming up in the next few days. I hope it doesn't!
 
If there is anyone out there that have the Naked Necks from S & G Poultry and have eggs for sale ( not very expensive ) and posts them on the Auction Threads please someone notify me by PM.

I understand these birds usually grow bigger than the hatchery NN, so I'd love to get some and find out myself.
 
Both peafowl eggs I won are developing :th I really don't need peafowl, but I couldn't resist! Good thing I live in the middle of nowhere because I have read that calling males are loud. Maybe I'll get two hens, lol.

Last time I bought eggs from them, I paid for 12, got 18, and had an excellent hatch rate! Definitely recommend their eggs.
