Chausie Cats- has anyone owned or cared for one?

The Anchorage Daily Newspaper has a story from Nov 19th of a woman who lost her Savannah cat for 6 months and the Fish & Game helped her catch it and return it home but then cited her as they are not allowed in Alaska...

As for the beautiful and exotic animals being bred and people making money off them...I'm against it, they usually have to live in small homes, apartments, etc., instead of on a larger farm as your neighbor has theirs where they have room to feel freedom.

Too many unwanted animals all over the world due to human negligence in ownership duties. I did rescue/rehoming the past 10 years and its so depressing I quit for now. Then, I began taking in others chickens/flocks...didn't see that one coming!

They're from Norway...dontcha think they'd be warm? LMAO! Nope...not mine..he loves to snuggle under the blankets!

its against registery rules to outcross. He is not going to get quality kittens by mixing with a stray. Chausies are only sterile for the first 4 generations. They have a set standard and stray cats generally dont have the oppropriate "type". There are PLENTY of chausies in canada, and he could easily find a male to buy for a stud cat and do it correctly.

I do breed savannahs by the way, here is a girl I have available now:
