hi, we brought our foster child an inexpensive incubator, we have 12 lace wynadotte eggs in at present, what is the best temp. It has a temp. setting, fan forced,

Hi, I incubate at 37.5 Celsius or equivalent in Fahrenheit. You say your incubator inexpensive so I would get a thermometer just to check it's running correctly. I had an inexpensive one at first and the temp setting on it was all wrong and had failed hatches at first. Also I have my humidity at 45% day 1-18 then when you stop turning on day 18 I put it up to 65%. Wishing you the very best of luck with your hatch. :cd

thank you to all for your advice. I purchased a thermometer and my grandson successfully hatched 5 out of 12 eggs. He is over the moon. chicks are now 3weeks old and he has them sleeping on his chest when he watches television. J came to us from DOC's a year again, very emotionally damaged to say the lest, the chickens have taught him its ok to love and care, best therapy ever.
once again thank you everyone for your help.
