Cheap Meat Chicks

I want at least 40 but no more than 50... I'd be willing to place the order and have them shipped to me but I'm in RI and for some of you that is quite a drive...
We'd be willing to drive out to pick up ours from someone else but not like a day long drive.

In all reality the money we save by splitting an order just isn't worth the
time and gas spent driving.

The time I have. But whatever, if you close CT people want to go in on an order it's perfectly fine with me.

Ideal has them on special now for $1.08 straight runs. You have to order at least 25 to get them at that price. www.ideal-poultry.com and click on weekly specials.

I think this is what I'm going to do because I also want some egg-layers too. I thought this sounded like a good deal.

Half the fun of going in with other people is it gives everyone a reason
to get together and then monitor each others' progress with the same
birds. The two members here I have split orders with are an hour away.
The financial math doesn't work but the fun factor is there.

In my case, after thinking it through, I have to thin down my existing
flocks before ordering more birds. I have at least 10 Welsummer and
EE roos that are only 4 weeks old, a turkey, and a few dozen quail I
need to process before I have room for more. Last time I overdid it
and couldn't keep up with the mess and care of them all.
