Sharing incase anyone else is looking for a cheap DIY solution to sifting.
I have a pretty large poop board for my guineas. It’s 3 feet deep and it is a chore... and let’s be honest... Sifting in the winter sucks. I needed a quick way to get the job done. I’ve seen scoopers made with stall rakes which is genius but I didn’t have one on hand.
I found this deep dust pan at the Dollar Store a while back. I believe it was a 2 pack too. Used a heated utility knife blade to cut out hole in dust pan. Cut 1/4” HC to fit. Glued HC down with my favorite super glue E6000. Added some weight to HC ends and let cure for 72 hours. It works great! All for 3 bucks-ish. Not bad!
This could work with any size dust pan. Happy sifting!!
