Check-in Here if you are on lamb/kid watch...

Our Cashmere will probably wait until Tina and I go on our road trip. One of our Nigerian does did manage to have her kid on one of the warmest days in December, but that day only lasted with the sun. I was happy that I had set up the corn crib for her and her baby , but still had to move her to the barn basement after the first night! Not to mention that my wife just had to have the kid inside for awhile. I came in from the chicken coop that morning and she was snuggled up in bed with "Prancer". I just laughed and built more fences!

Well she went and did it! We had two baby Cashmeres today. I think they were crossed with Lamancha. They are healthy and both eating. Pictures when I get home! Interesting note, today was the best day for temperature in 3 weeks! It was 70 degrees. The rest of the week goes downhill. So our mama again picked the best possible day to kid!

my girl went today also however early morning temps were as cold as it has gotten here yet this year 6 degrees however she did wait for the 2 days of ice and sleet before she went which I do appreciate however I was still checking on her every 1 to 2 hours during the icky weather. Baby was the 1st live birth at our farm does friend lost her doe 2 1/2 weeks ago so I was even more a wreck but she did great I did not forget everything I have read and she is being a very good mama.

Tomorrow is supposed to be the big day for my doe Dizzy. I'm not sure whether it will be, she's enormous and her udder is bigger but not shiny or tight. AND STILL NO MUCOUS
