Two out of my three are like weebles wabling around with full udders and swollen holes with tails looking about ready to fall off....

I don't know how they can still run and act crazy.... yesterday they did look a bit more slow and ate more hay than grain.....

They're due this weekend so we'll see..... I'm a nervous wreak....

Electricity came back on this morning (day 7 w/o power) so now I'm a bit less stressed if the babies or Momma needs help w/warming up.... temps are to be in the single digits next two nights....

I hope my little pygmies look as cute as the other goat pictured on this thread....

I've got 8 ewes to watch. The 9th ewe isn't due until June so I have a long ways to go for her. They were bought at auction and are due anywhere from Valentine's to May. Luckily I only have 8 ewes to watch and have been through lambings several times before in the past. Looking at them I don't think any are ready yet but a couple might be ready in about 3 weeks. I'm keeping my eye on them but not ready to stay up all night with them yet.

I don't think i can stand the excitement of actual kids, the mucous is exciting enough!

Does anyone know how long it will be now? The mucous was clear and yellow at first, but now it's really thick and yellowish brown, and looks like it has some red in it at the top.

Dizzy had two kids this afternoon, a buck and a doe

The doe was first and is quite small, the buck is a big boy! There wasn't 30 seconds between them, and she almost dropped the boy on his head because she was standing licking the other one! I caught him. Pics will come soon I promise; he's all black with a white toupe, and she is black with a white belt and feet.

The doe wasn't nursing too well, Dizzy kept moving to lick her every time she'd get close to the teat! The wax plug was huge in one of them, the other one was ready.
