We are keeping our chicks in the 2nd shower. This is the third time we have used this set up and it works very well. I just tape over the drain and fill the shower pan up with pine shavings. The bathroom is small and draft proof (good thing in my old 1920's era cabin).

I did the same thing last spring!! although my shower is not as pretty as yours, but it worked really well. and then when they moved out it was real easy to clean up, just shop vac up the shavings, pull up the tape from the drain turn on the shower and scrub it all!

Oh I love that idea!! I thought about that, but my walk in shower has no door on it. If it had a door, I'd have mine living inside. They are in my workshop where I do my dolls and seem to be loving it. Ours just came this morning.
