Hi, name is Kris, and I live in beautiful NW New Jersey! Yes, there 'are' beautiful parts of NJ, but if you tell anyone,
I'll have to kill you! (Only kidding!!!)
I have been planning for my new chickens since last fall. It has been an adventure, to say the least!
All the work is almost completed, and I will be receiving my trio of Light Sussex from Greenfire Farm in Fla. the last week of April....
in addition to 4 young EE pullets and 2 young lavender Silkie pullets around the same time.
I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited about this new chapter of my life!
Chickens rule!!!!

Welcome! I'm from near the West Coast and took an 8000 mile road trip witho my family last summer...two days in NJ. It was the only state we visited that I said I would never go back to. Sorry...

I just wanted to see what part was the "garden state." All I saw were walled in highways where you could only turn right to go left! (promise, I'll never tell!)

It looks beautiful where you live. And I love your coop!

Super looking job on the coop. What preditors do you have that require electric fencing? I pretty much just have to keep dogs out of mine, it's mostly inside of a 6' privacy fence too. I know you will love your chickens!
