***Check out my emu eggs on my Incubator Cam**** update I helped***

Did you do an 'egg-topsy'?
What do you think caused the failure?
What would you do differently next time?

I have a shipped egg in the bator at 52 days right now, and a new one at 8 days.
Both are shipped eggs.

The 52-day egg makes a different sound now when I tap it, and I think I heard a scraping noise when I held the egg against my ear. (DD heard it too, but I question reality vs our desire to hear it, you know?)
BUT~ No matter whether the scraping was real or not, the egg sound has changed when I tap a certain spot compared to the rest of the egg, anf the 'plink' on the one spot is definitely different than the 'thunk' it used to make.
I'm wondering if there's something I should try to ensure a successful hatch, IF there is anyone really in there....

I opened it up and it looked pretty normal. The only issue I could see was the inner membrane did seem to be slightly stuck to the outer membrane. I had them mounted into a LG turner during incubation. Next time I'm going to turn by hand.

I did a float test prior to opening the last egg. I have to use my laundry tub to float these guys. I let the water calm down for about 10 minnutes before I put the egg in. It didn't move at all.

I'm starting my next batch on Wednessday.
