Some of you know that I finally got to visit Brens place and purchased a couple of her Lavender Silkies. They are getting gorgeous! I met Bren yesterday to pick up my Lavender Roo that she used last year for all of her Lavenders. I got lucky and she met me at Fawkes' Feather Farm! Bren and Deb are very good friends and they are both wonderful people and both have some amazing places and AWESOME silkies. I of course learned alot! Deb taught me how to hold a chicken, clip toenails and beaks!

Bren and Deb offered my husband and I an 18 mo old Lav hen and you know the rest. Couldn't resist! So, here's pics of the pair. Bren and Deb have some gorgeous birds! They are going to put some Lav's on eggbid! They have some super nice Non-bearded Cockerels/Roos.

This is Deb's last year Lav Hen (18 mo old). She has a nice crest, toes, feathering and awesome colored earlobes. Nice dark eyes. Deb showed her last year, but I was super excited and forgot to ask how she did. But, she is a winner to me, so that's all that counts.

This is Bren's last year breeder Roo (2 yr old). His earlobes are not silver, I just have a bad camera. They are blue. He got into a scuffle with another and got his crest a little, but he is still handsome! Has nice dark eyes, good toes and nice feathering. Dark comb and mulberry wattles. His wattles show up kind of red in the pics, but they aren't red. He'll fluff back out this summer. He has produced some awesome offspring for Bren! He is the sweetest. Loves to talk!

This is my Lav Pullet from Bren, but she has changed so much..... so thought I put an updated pic of her. She has an awesome crest! I think it's going to be huge. I need to get new photos of her mate, he has changed alot too. He is starting to fill in nicely.

WOW!
They are awesome! I'm so glad you got them...now how can I get them??

IF you ever get tired of or over run with chicks from that roo, you can let him "vacation" up here with my girls.
The hen and the pullet are gorgeous.
The pullet is very special.
I'm jealous that you got to meet those two ladies and to see their Silkies.
Sounds like you are off and running on the Lavender birds.
When do you suppose you will have either eggs or chicks available, if at all? I'm sure you want to build up your flock with these good Silkies you just got added, but I'll be looking for more info as to when you might sell some.
Great pics by the way and I love your new name and logo.

For a minute I thought I was seeing double!
Sundown Waterfowl? And with a pullet/hen that looked just like mine!

I'm glad I didn't use my hen for my avatar...that would have been too much!
We got the Silkies covered, from Sundown to SonRise
Here is my little bird

See any resemblance?

EEWWW You are right Cammie, her Buff is beautiful.

I'll be wanting to see if I can get some eggs from her...
My little hen is not as pretty a color, and I'm not even sure what color she is, I just like her.

But Sundown's is a true Buff and sooo pretty!

SonRise we will be getting your gorgeous Lav girl a Boyfriend! My husband is fixing to start building him a hatching room. So, when he is ready to take care of a few chicks, I'll hatch a few and send them your way!

I do hope that you get to meet them, they are wonderful women! They teach me what i need to know and that is greatly appreciated.

I think she is Partridge. We need to see if Sonoran can look at her and tell us what color she is. She is pretty, very nice and fluffy, just the way I like em!
