Check out this coop!

Hi Susan!

We bought one of those and modified it when our Banty chicks turned 6 weeks old and we still didn't have the main coop and run finished.

DH took measurement of all the pieces so we will be able to build our own instead of buying anymore of them.

I love it up on stilts even more! Is it easy to keep clean?

Rats, the link to your building process didn't work for me.

Thanks so much for sharing!

Fixed the link, you can see the album now.

It's easy to clean, especially the barn...as they don't hang out up in there much. A few of them actually sleep inside, most of them sleep on the ladder up into the barn. My avatar is of the gang settling in for the evening.

They keep the dirt in the run section so stirred up that there hasn't been any chicken smell. I sift a bit of food grade DE in there weekly to help dry up the poop and keep the flies at bay.

Soon as we get the main run finished, the Barn will be home to our 5 Silkies...until we get the next one built, which will be a bit bigger than the original one. Then the original Barn will house our pair of Black-Tailed Buff Japanese.
