Check out this FANCY coop

It's decieving in that the chickens are never let out of that back cage into the rediculus sitting room. They have a pop door and run far wall, cage door is for interior access. Funny set up but could actual see myself sitting out in the coop reading with the rythum of clucking music behind me.

Wow, thats like....super fancy!

I wouldn't want something that good looking tho...it takes away the country chicken feel.

She probably keeps it so clean because it looks like she uses her farm as props for her professional photography. I love her photography too. What a fun way to combine your talents and hobbies!!

One time I posted a link to a beautiful coop.. and I mean BEAUTIFUL. People started to make really hateful remarks about it being too nice for chickens - which btw were this ladies pets. This woman was a frequent reader of this forum and she really got her feelings hurt. I personally wrote her and appologized for posting the link.

Soo - please don't get ugly about this coop. She clearly states that the hens free range during the day and that she cleans it daily. My preference is to have a coop that is as maintence free as possible.. but this is obviously an extension of her creativity.

Paint snob on it? Why? Because she has an adorable chicken coop? If you had taken the time to follow the link and read her blog, she states that she uses the coop for her photography business, she cleans it daily, and does a thorough BI-weekly cleaning on it. If that is her preference, and she has time for it, why would you be so judgemental? I have to admit, I have a little coop envy over that coop, but I am also realistic. I don't have time to clean daily, and my cute little coop will never look like that. I think that her coop is adorable.

Ok, I went to her website and read all about the coop. The front part of it that you can see in the picture is for feed storage, etc and the birds are actually in the back part at night. She says that she cleans it EVERY DAY and does a thorough scrubbing twice a week to keep it looking like this.

Her birds free-range all day so they are only in it from dusk to dawn. She even says that there is no way to keep it looking like this if you had birds in it 24/7.

I'm so inspired... 1. hang chandelier in coop 2. paint everything white inside the coops 3. find some old frames to decorate 4.

I agree 100% .I would love something like this but would never be able to keep up with the cleaning. It is part of her business so she has to. BTW in the article she stated she cleaned it right before the shoot. I will have to settle for a compromise with a "gazebo" run that I can sit in and a function only coop.
