Check out this FANCY coop

Agree...just because it seems unbelievable to some, it is both part of her business and a part of her as a person. I think it's stunningly gorgeous and I'm completely jealous!!

It really doesn't take a lot of effort to have a really nice, painted and clean coop. It's a matter of priorities.

If she wants to spend all that extra time cleaning and it doesn't bother her, I think that's great. I'm glad she tells people that chickens are dusty and that she does have to do all that extra cleaning. People that have never had chickens just don't have a clue how dusty they can be.

soo..not trying to ruffle anyones feathers at all..

but if you put your buisness out on the street, so to speak..why would you get your feelings hurt if someone gave a negitive comment? if a person can't handle both positive and negitive comments..then WHY would you put your buiness out to be commented on?

You have to expect with a forum that has hundreds of members, that not everyone will think the same and have differing opinions.. I don't think it's fair to pick and choose which ones you want.

just my humble opinion.

Just went to her website and checked it out.

Beautiful! And did you see the little coop her daughter designed for her first? Yes it is not like our coops, but being a Fancy FarmGirl is what she is all about. I'm more into rustic than vintage but what a wonderful job she does!

I am so glad you posted this. It is truly beautiful. I would never take the time for the upkeep on it, but I can appreciate someone else's dream coop. (slinks to backyard to apologize to hens in dirt floored coop)

I agree that it's a beautiful coop and I love the way she's made such a fully-wrought expression of her hobbies and lifestyle (and admits she's willing to do the work to keep it up!). My own coop is pretty Mod-looking (I used The Garden Coop plans) which matches my Mid Century Modern house - and though friends say we built "The Coop Mahal" it suits me and my chickens perfectly.

That said, I have lots of poop ALL over the place, because I'm not a big fan of cleaning, but still want to hang a chandelier in my next coop...which I'll attach to my wine cellar, perhaps.

The only thing I can think of keeping the sitting area clean, is there a wall plexiglass between those two rooms?

That would be the only thing that would keep the dust to a minimum.

Just beautiful, I must say!
