With valuable flock I have right now, sewer rats are the worst offenders of getting after my chicks and eggs. How would you like getting up in the morning and find NO eggs for your breakfast for five days in a row? Not a happy camper....wished I had some BIG snakes under the coop!

I agree! Kill them all. One bit my grandson a few years ago and he almost died from a severe infection. They also started digging tunnels in the barn. While walking through the barn last summer I fell through one that was about a foot deep. It was full of nasty baby rats. I grabbed an old piece of board and put them out of their miserable lives. They carry and spread several diseases.

Do NOT feed wild rodents to your snakes or lizards! They can harbor bacteria, worms and disease! not everything is killed my the reptilian digestive system.

For the record I have had several snakes, pet rats and feeder rats. All are much more hygenic than their wild bred counterparts.

Can always do an internet search on "repeating trap" as there are many different kinds. Here is the mouse one that has been discussed on BYC before. There are many variations.
